I bought a old ccm Encore ladies single speed old 26" british
standard wheels at a garage sale...we'll I got it all fixed up,I had to put a longer seat tube on it,tighten the bottom bracket up has well has the head set,tru all the wheels up lube chain....One thing I noticed is the bottom bracket on the left side is reverse threaded so it tightens counter clock wise same with lock nut.
I new all the newer bicycles had this factored in to there bicycles
I was surprised to see a older bicycle with this factored in as well?
Usually the older bicycles tightened there bottom bracket clock wise...and it would loosen up in time...thats why the reverse
threading was factored in on all the newer dept. store bicycles
and of course the most expensive ones today all have B.B. cartridge system.:)
