haven't checked the www (is anyone else having problems with cyclingnews today?), but FC was able to put on the yellow jersey on the podium without wincing.

Thats good news.

"The pile-up gave me a fright. At the time I hurt myself, but now I feel better," said the Swiss
(Good News)

It also says hincapie was in the crash, hope he's ok.

Injury Update: Caught in the huge peloton spill near the end of Monday's Stage 2, George Hincapie sustained knee lacerations and Tomas Vaitkus injured his thumb. Hincapie was OK; Vaitkus was taken to a nearby hospital for further examination. All other DC riders were A-OK. More news as available.

vaitkus shattered his thumb so hes out.

Which team attacked? The three in the break were from Agritubel, Euskatel, and Milram. I did see some Milram riders at the front when the break was down to under 30 seconds - but it the break was as good as caught by then.

No, I'm talking about the Spanish guy in the break attacking the break at the end.

Looks like Milram is sponsored by Shimano so I am guessing DA pedals, sure Shimano enjoyed watching the guy pull out of his pedals and take out half the peleton!

That's pretty normal move. Attacking just before your group is caught up. Sometimes it could "trick" the peloton to think that there is no one in the front.

Has anyone located any shots of the crash on the internet? If so, can you post a link? Thanks.

The gap was practically nothing at that point anyway.

It was Zabel, but he didn't pull out of his pedal.

It was Zabel, but he didn't pull out of his pedal.

Zabel hit Boonen's wheel then veered and hit Quinzato(sp?). Cavendish went down for the second day in a row.
