Fifty Plus (50+) - I Rode With Digital Gee!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

So, here we are in Northern California. Four of us start a 40 mile ride that will include several miles of climbing, including 7 miles at one time. We had stopped to rest after a short, 15-18% bump, before we started the long climb. Looking back, here comes a rider charging up the hill. He joined us for the rest of the ride.
DG has been sandbagging us all. Here he is. 50+. Check. Requisite gray goatee. Check. 6'3". Huh? Power climber. Huh? But I KNOW IT'S HIM. Why? He's riding a white "Ruby". He denied any knowledge of this forum, so I will keep his secret. He is actually a very strong rider. Don't tell anyone. Here is his picture.

Nice camera angle -- makes it look like "DG" is really climbing! Frankly I am not surprised that in person he is actually a TdF challenger. Remember most of us only know the online "Gee", and our offline alter ego may be very different. Hey, next time you guys decide to do a Nor Cal 50+ BF ride post it here. I may be willing to drive up!

Gee's kit would co-ordinate. This kit makes me want to color-co-ordinate him. DG, being mildly OCP, would have a kit that coordinates.
Imposter!
