Fifty Plus (50+) - Blueberry and Cherry Pie!!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
And Key Lime as well!!
My wife and daughter went to see a flick-"The Waitress" maybe?? The storyline was about a waitress that made pies for the restaurant where she worked. They were so engrained with pie themes after watching the movie they stopped by the bakery and brought home 3 pies on their way home.
It's a really close race but I think the pies will be finished off in the following order:
Cherry
Blueberry
Key Lime
Cherry is my favorite and it is going very, very quickly.........Blueberry could very well make a push around midnight to catch up, though.
Sorry-no pics. The pies would not give us permission to take photos as they had really been worked over.

All three flavors, very nice. Key lime, served very cold, on a hot afternoon-mmmmmmmmmm!
Red Rider is making a peach pie right now, as we type. Made from the small white candy peaches in our backyard.

I had Rhubarb and Raspberry Pie in Whalen at the Root River in MN. Heated with ice-cream.
I biked 100 miles/day for a week and gained 5#.
Lots of the above pie.

Ooooh, baby, I just made my first peach pie in about 2 years. Absolutely delish! I found a source for fresh sour cherries, so I'ma thinkin' mebby cherry pie next. And of course more peach pie! Or nectarine, or blackberry or boysenberry or. . . !

I had my first Key Lime pie in twenty or thirty years on July 4th. I made a pig of myself and had two pieces. It was like what they say heroin is like -- instantly, I was addicted. Man that was good pie! :D

For a "chick flick" it was a good movie (besides, I'm a sensitive New-Age guy :)). The pie theme was a big plus!
Key Lime RULES!!

Cherry and peach together make a wicked good pie. Peaches play very nicely with most berries too.
I have got to stop reading this thread.

I had a cherry & peach pie slice from the Grand Traverse Pie Company in Ann Arbor. It was delicious.

Yes they are. The Blueberries are in season here right now. I bought 3 20lb boxes yesterday from a blueberry farm and was quite the hero when I got home. Of course a nice fresh pie was made. It's all gone though.....................

Talk, talk, talk.........not one pic?? C'mon.
I like anything with blueberries in it. All time favorite breakfast for me, is fresh blueberries on bran flakes with just the right amount of milk poured over top. Too bad they are in season for such a short time.

I'll try to remember the camera on the "pie ride" next week:) The ride leader's wife bakes pies for the regular Tuesday night group once a season and he's indicated next week may be the week:D
