I got hit by a bus today, I'm fine, it was pulling to a bus stop and I was as close to the curb as you can get just riding along.. I bounced off the side of the bus like 5 times but stayed on my bus the whole time. I called the traffic department of the SM police and left a message with my number and the number on the bus, wondering if anyone has any experience at all reporting traffic violations in Santa Monica.

I'm actually walking the "duplicate thread" line here because I posted a thread about this in the commuter section too, but I figured people in the area may have more insight. Thanks.

I'm confused. Was it a hit and run or was it one of those things where the driver didn't know he hit you and you weren't able to get his attention?

Where did this happen?

And I didn't quite get what happened, you were passing a bus stop and a bus ran you off the road?

The bus was pulling to the side to stop at the bus stop, I was riding on the side of the road there.. I bounced off the side about five times or so and then the bus stopped and so did I. He reluctantly opened the door and mumbled something and i said "you know this is a bike lane right?" and he held his hands up in a "what do want from me? what can i do now?" kind of way.

Did you get the bus number?

Call their corporate number and report the bus number to driver management or legal claims department.

"What can I do now......" how about get the F off the street before you kill someone.

I live in the Westside, I used to live in SM for about a year. Which street is this?

FYI, the newer buses have GPS tracking, so they should know who was driving that bus.
