Hello povertyonwheels, I would be perfect for that, but I'm not in the Bay Area! Are you talking about riding around GG Park fifty or sixty times, or would it be more like taking the bus out of town and heading to Santa Cruz and making your way back (although that would admittedly hit some rural areas)?

Definitely check in with the Northern California regional forum, then. I think you should be able to find someone or a group that you'd enjoy :) . The Northern California people are VERY nice :) .
