Bad news... I'm scared again. Nervous. Wondering how we can afford another one! But...
Good news... My wife is pregnant again!! She's due in mid to late January 2008! WOOHOO! She's going into her 2nd trimester. Just wanted to share with you guys! :) My 6yo daughter is very excited as well! We were trying earlier this year but gave up since my wife started a new job. Doh! I guess "it" happened anyway! hehe!
Not sure on the sex [of the baby] yet but seeing the baby's heart beat on the sonogram and seeing it move around is just as exciting as it was the first time with my daughter!
And honestly, like my first, I don't care wether it's a boy or girl... I just want healthy. So that's another one of my fears is the health of the baby. So I nag my wife to make sure she takes her vitamins and folic acid everyday.
But I do feel bad because she has "morning sickness" day and night and there's not much I can do to make her feel better. But I continue to ask her... And no crazy cravings yet.
With our first she wanted a specific brand of red herrings in a glass jar. I went to a couple different places and none in stock. So I call her and she gets mad and spells out R-E-D H-E-R-R-I-N-G for me... So I suck it up and look some more. I finally find them and bring home about 4 bottles of the stuff. But she only wanted it at that time so there were 3 other bottles never opened!!! UGH!!
Oh yeah, my daughter is already wanting to have the baby ride in the trailer I got from Tiffanie! hehe!
Anyway... just wanted to share our good news... :) BF will have a new addition soon!
Huge Congrats to you Gee3. :D

Don't worry, babies don't eat much and you can re-use all the stuff from the first baby. ;) Nah, I have no idea what I'm talking about, so good luck and congrats!
Congrats, two is lots of work, but twice as much fun too. My youngest turns three next month. He calls his older brother, Wade, "my Wade Wade" and says he wants to be like him. Imitates his words, his mannerisms, etc. It is a blast.

Good news... My wife is pregnant again!!
Major congrats!!!!!!!!!
... Brad
Thanks everyone...
My daughter has been so helpful and cute. She always says hello and goodnight to my wife's tummy. When we told her the baby won't be out until Jan of next year she said "that's along time! I want the baby to come out now!" hehe!
She also wants to name the baby! If it's a girl she wants Jasmine, if it's a boy she said Eric... the prince from the Little Mermaid. BTW, my daughter's name is Ariel and my wife is Aurora (a la Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty). Great!! A house full of Disney characters and me, the snail from Spongebob... Gary! hahahaha!
But I have veto rights on the name since my wife named our first daughter. It's my turn to name one of our kids! But I will take my daughters names under consideration....

Congrats Gee! Two are a lot fun- you'll see! And your 6y/o is old enough to help, which is a good thing. Sorry to hear about your wife's morning sickness- I hope it passes and everything is smooth sailing from here on. Enjoy this time- as you probably remember from your first, there's something calming in a way about expecting :)

My 2.5 year old daughter wholehearted approves of these names.
Edit... go for the supporting characters if you want to throw people off the Disney scent a bit. Boy: Sebastian. Girl: Drizella
I would assume thats how it happened...
congrats on having a second.
Hahaha! EDIT: sex [of the baby]

Welcome back to the world of sleep deprivation and dirty diapers!
Seriously, that's absolutely great. Just remember, if you end up having a third, you have switch from man-to-man and go to a zone.
*high fives Gee3* Congrats!
Oh yes... the lack of sleep and the dry heaving when changing dirty diapers... I do remember those days! In fact... I keep waking up 2-3 times a night of late. I guess it's good practice.
Once my daughter saw me going "potty" standing up. so she tried the same thing. Needless to say she made a nice wet mess all over the floor and herself! I was laughing so hard I just couldn't get mad at her for that one!
But what made this one so scary is that my wife had a early term miscarriage last year. So I was very nervous... still am... but with her going into the 2nd
tri-mester I'm feeling a bit better.
Oh yeah... no third one... either she's getting tied or I'm getting snipped!!
Awww CONGRATS!!! It will be so wonderful and worth all the outings for her cravings when you lay your eyes upon your baby!!!!!! :)
Cool!
Any idea how it happened?

Not to be a wuss but I cried like a baby when I saw our first daughter come out... but ssshhhh... don't tell anyone! hehe!

Not sure... but I have my suspicions! I'm keeping my eye out on the milk man and mail man!
:p

Well, you see Stacey, when a Daddy and a Mommy love each other very much, Mommy lets Daddy put his...oh god, nevermind.
Congrats! Babies are small, cute members of your militia.
Any idea how it happened? My money's on sunspots.

Great news Gee3. I'm glad you're excited, because I'm too old, and impatient to start over with a young-un again. Our "baby " turns 16 in a few weeks, and I'm looking forward very much to both my childrens' ultimate independence.
btw - the word you wanted is "gender". :)

Gary you sound so excited, you got me excited!! This is great news! A lot of fun. The spacing between the kids is going to be paying off because Ariel will be so willing to help. It's great because she is learning responsiblity and will feel very much a part of this birth and of the raising of the baby.
When is the red egg party? :p

I know the feeling. Our son was born by C-section, but I was in the operating room. (Hearing the doc say "Oh my God, look at the size of that kid's head" explained the need for the C-section. And I am not making that up) Holding my minutes-old son, showing him to the assembled multitudes in the waiting area (seriously, there were about 20 people there), carrying him down to the nursery and holding him while they prepared his bed/bassinet/box/whatever they put him in will forever rank as perhaps the greatest moment of pure, uncut joy of my life. It was almost too much to bear, but I managed. And yeah, I was crying pretty much non-stop, too.

Thanks everyone... been busy at work so I haven't been able to reply! Doh!
Siu, I'll let you know when the party is. Maybe I'll invite my cousin Martin and you guys can catch up on lold times! hehe! jk!
Yeah, I'm very excited! I had the same worries with #1 and all turned out great. And with Ariel old enough to help out it'll be cool for everyone. Although I do think the sibling jealousy thing will kick in eventually so I'll be taking Ariel on more of my bike rides. :)
I don't know, it's hard to explain the joy I feel. I just want to burst and yell it to the world! But you guys get the picture. :D

Vega - if she/he is born on the 12th will you teach it the <curious Vega look!>? hehe!
Actually I think the doctor said the due date is about the 20th, give or take 10 days... so who really knows! Ack!
