Road Bike Racing - Whatever happened to the Landis verdict last Friday?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I read murmurings about it coming out Friday, and then changed to Saturday, but whatever came of that?

Considering the media silence, I figured that much. When is the new verdict date supposed to actually be though - that's what I'm wondering.

Long deliberations favor the defendant.

Long deliberations favor the defendant.
Do we know whether the lack of a verdict is due to continued deliberation, or a purposeful delaying of the announcement of a verdict that has already been reached?

I don't know where you saw that but it was said by Robbie Ventura (Floyd's Coach) on Versus.

Next Monday is the rest day. I'm thinking we'll hear it then, or after the Tour.

That's totally bogus if a decision has been reached and they are waiting for a rest day in the tour or until it's over to announce it.

The only place something this ******** isn't deemed outrageous would be France.

I believe they will tell us after the tour - so that they don't spoil the Tour. The truth is not important to them (in my opinion), only the money from coverage, endorsements and branding. I just want the truth.

They're waiting till the guy Landis appointed goes on vacation then they'll announce the decision without him.

That's a jury trial through.

And why is this a Big Mystery That Keeps Changing. What is UP with that?
The authorities running the show in pro cycling are idiotic beyond human comprehension.

Here is what cyclingnews reports that Landis said on Monday night about when a decision might be announced, ""My lawyers have not heard anything, he said."
Everything else appears to be rumor.
Here you go.

If they wait until after the Tour, they'll ruin TWO TdFs. Before the Tour, and this year's Tour would have moved the outcome off the front pages. After the Tour, and it will move any good news that comes from this Tour off the front pages. This is stupid. (And, is there ANYBODY on the planet who doesn't believe they already had a decision a long time ago?)
It is time for them to defecate or leave the receptacle.

Sorry, it seemed to be a wasted opportunity otherwise...
I agree, I just want an answer. Unfortunately, if a miracle happens and the USADA is defeated, this is only just Round One and we'll have to wait for the whole thing to be revisited by the Court for Arbitration in Sports.
