with the new Baconator Burger. 6 strips of bacon on 2 beef patties. YUK!!! I love beef burgers & bacon, however this is obscene! I've been avoiding fast food restaurants more and more, however this burger may have been the tipping point for me. I think I may swear off junk food ... at least until I come to my senses :o .

I just saw an ad for this on TV and had to google it. Here's a link from a guy that "tried" to eat one.

Nothing wrong with it if you want to use up all your daily caloric allowance with one burger! I might try one if the weather were a tad colder!

How about a bag of White Castle Burgers! Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!! It is a once a year kind of treat at my age but I do so love them!

I bet the bacon cheeseburgers I get around here have less fat and calories than the baconator and are still bigger and better tasting.

I had a stomach ulcer years ago, and one of the things the doc told me to do, was not to eat red meat while it was healing. Prior to that, I used to eat a hamburger or some other form of red meat nearly everyday.

Anyway, after I was healed up a couple months or so later, I went out to a fast food place and got a big ol' juicy burger, and it nearly made me puke later, I became so nauseous. I think cuz my tolerance was down for greasy red meat?

I eat burgers and steaks still on occasion, but not nearly as much as I used too, and am a little pickier about the choice of cuts these days.

That is grotesque. Oh well, it's just another step in the one-upmanship of gluttony and extremism of modern society's junk food habits. meh.

I saw an ad for that the other day, too, and had about the same thought. I would be embarrassed to be advertising something like that in this day and age! Or do I just hang with the wrong crowd, where (for instance) most people have seen--or at least discussed!--the movie Supersize Me, and agree that portion sizes are out.of.control.

Someone out there must be buying these things.

The only thing that beats a sack of Sliders is a suitcase of them! :D

How far from a White Castle are you? The one 'near' us (45 miles one way) closed down. :(

It's good to see Wendy's is taking a healthy approach to fast food.:) But alas, if there weren't all the fat pigs out there to eat that crap Wendy's wouldn't make it.

About a week or so ago, I had one... it wasn't really that big, either.

But, yeah, it had no other toppings, really. C'mon, a real burger has more than two slabs of meat, two pieces of processed cheese food, and some bacon.

What pisses me off is the #4 combo used to be the "Big Bacon Classic" which this is exactly, minus the veggies.

...if they discontinued the BBC, I am done with Wendy's....a BBC and a large frosty is one of my favorite indulgences.

I liked their spicy chicken, before they screwed that up too. I think Dave was the only thing keeping that company afloat, as their marketing team are obviously ********. Wendy's was the last place you could get a "loaded" burger without paying the prices of a place like Chili's.

Was shopping with Mom last weekend and she likes Wendy's so naturally that's where she wanted to go --- and I saw that was on the menu (now I like bacon ... but...) - and then noticed a pudgy man in the corner was eating not one, but two of them. He inhaled them ---- AND after each monstrous bite of the burger he licked each side of the burger (so as not to miss a single drop). Hehe, looked at my Mom and said if I ever went out with someone who displayed those eating habits on the 1st date, it would be our last date.

I can understand that one, but it was the almost "loving" attention he applied to the cheeseburger that was overly unnatural.

Hmmmm, say ... do you perform such operations on your cheeseburger? :D

I remember when I worked at a Wendy's and made what I called "Bacon Bonanza"....my employee $4 credit for a breaktime meal was blown by a MASSIVE factor on this burger.

It was a double with 5 orders of bacon on it....10 pieces!, one extra piece of cheese....and BBQ suace (Chicken nugget BBQ, paid a quarter for it).

This was an $8 hamburger.....but oh my god it was delicious!

...I did things like that when working there, made stuff that was not on the menu. jr. Bacon cheesburger with the honey mustard sauce from the Grilled Chicken was awesome too (the grilled chicken honey mustard is different from the nugget honey mustard).

I remember watching the Food Network's special on burgers. This one place had a "Butter Burger" where they slathered a ton of butter on the bun and let it melt all over the patty. The regulars swear by the stuff...

The odd part were the numerous vultures that just seemed to loom over the restaurant throughout the day... hhmmm....??? hehe! j/k!

A local radio show for some reason went on a cooking tangent, and one of the hosts came up with a secret ingredient for his steaks.

Spray-on I Can't Believe It's Not Butter (or one of the many clones.)

Don't see why it wouldn't work for a hamburger... (or the real thing, for that matter.)

Better not take that to Scotland or they'll deep fry it.

Amen on that, particularly with sodas. It seems just about everywhere, what was once the large is now the smallest size available and the largest are just ridiculous.

Amen on that, particularly with sodas. It seems just about everywhere, what was once the large is now the smallest size available and the largest are just ridiculous.I know. Would it kill them to offer a soda half the size of their "regular" for 2/3 the price? About the only thing you can still get at a decent, reasonable size, is a 12-oz glass of juice at some restaurants.
