I just got my new road bike a couple of weeks ago, and my friends and myself did a the SRT from Riverview Golf Course down to the Pier. Split a sandwich at Subway, then headed back, just as the sun was coming out.
I've done it before on an MTB a couple of years ago, but the roadie is a much smoother ride, faster. 14.2mi one way.
I've ridden three out of the past five days.
Here's to many more SRT rides.
Cheers! My wife and ride it after work.

Nice! I'm assuming SRT is SART? Sorry, I'm from the northern part of southern CA and have only been on that bike path once. :p
Oh, and congrats on new bike!

SART? If so, make a left at Taft and ride the hills to change it up a bit.

Ok, hills near Taft. Taft east, left on Tustin, right on Taft again, easy grade up to Cannon/Imperial left to Serrano, Nohl Ranch etc, or Cannon right to Santiago Canyon to climbs of Skyline, Cowan Heights, Newport Ave, Canyon View, Chapman, Jamboree. These are the streets that I suffer on twice a week.
I think it's easier on my body to gasp for air at 8mph than to get hammered by Ralph's crew at 22+:D

Sounds like the ride I did today; left on Canyon View, Left on Santiago (I think), Left on Hewes to Prospect.

I was just up that way myself. Canyon View from Chapman is a fairly gnarly climb. The eastside is not too bad.
OP, sorry to jack your thread, and have fun on that new bike!

If you see a lung on the road, that's probably mine.
