Well i just got my Iron horse warrior 3.3, and ive taken it on a few rides now, and i was wondering how would i clean my bike without taking off the chains or w/e. can i just use a wet cloth and wipe the chains? and what about the shox? I'll probably be bringing the bike into a shop soon and getting all the chains lubed and everything tuned, but until then, what can i do? thanks in advance
Wash it pretty much like you'd wash a car (or maybe a dog -- think gentle, not scrubby). Try not to blast the drive train with water. Dry off as much as you can. After you're done, get a rag wet with some chain lube and rub the whole chain down and go for a short ride (cycling thru all gears) to make sure the lube gets distributed around.
