Ok looking at Sugino's website it says ISO taper, but looking around I see JIS mentioned quite often. So what is it ISO or JIS?

When in doubt, ask Sheldon Brown (http://sheldonbrown.com/bbtaper.html).
Basically, the NJS Sugino parts (75, Grand Mighty) are ISO, but the regular Sugino parts (RD, Zen) are JIS. You can run a mixed setup (I do) with mixed results. Read the above URL for more info.

Your stupid to mix tapers. If you use a JIS taper crank on an ISO BB it wont snug up putting all the work on the bolt. If you run it vise versa you damage the crank arm forcing it onto the JIS taper spindle. You will also have an in correct chainline either way.
BB's are cheap, buy the right one.

I use a Sugino 75 BB with my Sugino 75 Cranks. Works for me.

sugino 75's are ISO tapper (amazing eh?), but u can get away putting jis cranks in a s75 bb anyways, the only problem is that the cranks wont go that deep as they suppouse to....
Have fun....
