Road Cycling - Riding in North Carolina

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi all,
I will be taking a trip to North Carolina soon with my dad and we are planning on bringing our bikes. If anyone has any ride suggestions for the Henderson/Brevard area, please let us know:) Thanks to everyone in advance.

Oh man ditch the roadie and hit the DIRT! you'll be in the Pisgah National Forest which is an MTB mecca. But if you guys are dead set on riding the road get a topo map of the park area and ride, ride, ride. The park is very bike friendly and lots of climbing to do and things to see.

Ignore the Toninator, you'll just get your bike dirty. LOL
There are some awesome roads up in the eastern mountains. Just get a map. park the car, and go.
