Electric Bikes - Electric Recumbents

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Why isn't there more discussion on the topic of electric assisted recumbent bicycles?
It would seem more logical, since 'bents are naturally more aerodynamic (thus improving efficiency) and more comfortable than regular upright bicycles...
Recumbents are still relatively rare compared to regular bikes. Recumbent riders are also more likely to be "purists" meaning they don't want any electric assistance.
There are assisted recumbents out there though, just not very many.

Makes a lot of sense to me to electrify bent bikes, especially trikes where weight and portability aren't as much of a factor.
