Hi all, this is my formal introduction after browsing these forums for a couple days :) My name is Oscar and I just started getting into the cycling sport and IT'S A TON OF FUN! This is my first year as a grad student at USC and I've been riding for the last couple of weeks on monday nights around the Hollywood area, but I live near Downtown.
I would like to meet up with people for rides anywhere, preferably in the early morning or later evening. This sunday I'm looking into doing this ride over in Playa del Rey, if anyone is interested:

I'm riding a Schwinn Paramount and I like a little challenge, so I like to ride with all levels, cruising, sprints, hillies, etc, probably except the all-out hardcore competition people :D But eventually I would like to enter some races :)

Hey Oscar! Welcome. Plenty of rides and riders up in that area, and (if I do say so myself) some of the best-looking, nicest, and most talented riders are on BikeForums.

Hey Oscar I just "graduated" from USC- meaning I walked on stage but have two classes left. I heard during the Fall semester the cycling club does rides on Wed and Saturdays from USC to the beach and I think they're no drop rides. During the Spring semester most of these guys are racing. I'm thinking about doing a few rides with the SC cycling club next semester, we should try it out together if you haven't already.

As a matter of fact I just came across that link, so I'm definitely up for that.
