Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Toe clip for what pedal

I'm trying to find what pedals are compatible with this toe clip from Shimano. Thanks.

Cool, thanks. Are they still making the road cycling shoe (non-clipless) that were made for these type of pedals?

I remember seeing a couple shoes for those kind of pedals on nashbar a while ago, but I couldn't find my size. Might be worth a look, though.

Those clips are acutally meant for the 105s. PM if you want to buy a pair.

no but they pop up on nashbar now and then and you can by look style slotted cleats and then find shoes that will be tolerable with a strap. The special shimano cleats that made those pedals so nice are now almost $60 NOS. Those pedals are complete an utter **** without a real shoe though. Getting a pedal thats near unridable with soft shoes when that's how you plan to ride most of the time just because it has a cool toe clip is really ****ing dumb.

you don't need special shoes - road shoes will do, i believe. you just need to bolt on the right cleat - it's got forward-pointing sings that slip underneath those flanges by where the toeclip bolts on.

regular slotted cleats work too just not as well. Also most modern road shoes aren't meant for use with straps so picking something out with a smooth closure system is key.

The point being if you are going to buy those pedals you need to buy some real shoes to ride them with.(not necessarily those dmts)

I think those are fashion cross country shoes anyway.

And they are fashion track shoes not cross country. You need spikes for cross country, but these are great for distance on an indoor track.

There are plenty of cross country shoes without spikes and that tread would suck on cinder, asphalt or rubber.

Just saying if you are going to make a joke it will be funnier if it's actually real.
