Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga -- 9/10
Pretty fn good.. I thought it wasn't as great as Kill the Moonlight but lot others seem to think it might be their best stuff yet.. Some catchy tunes like Drop Yr Cherry Bomb and Dont make me a target.. There are also dancy tunes like Dont you Evah and just lots of plain no BS music..

Interpol - Out Love to Admire -- 9/10
I dont know what it is about Interpol but I just absolutely love their music.. The calculated morose melodies and sound-scapes are still there.. I found the guitars a bit less active than past albums.. The way the album starts off is very similar of Antics with a steady slow paced opener, couple of solid tracks and then the up tempo 'Heinrich Maneuver'.. The production seems a lot more cleaner but I sorta miss Paul Banks voice surrounded in guttural base and guitars.. Overall I cant think of too many bands that have made 3 consistent hits leave alone in succession so I give it a big thumbs up..

Don't take this as hate but rather a counter-opinion. I love Spoon's records but I think they absolutely blow live. Britt is an indifferent front man, and he has not at all mastered the art of singing and playing guitar. Which wouldn't be a big deal if they had a 2nd guitar player, but at least on their last tour, they didn't, so the sound was hollow and thin.
I loved Moonlight, and Girls Can tell and Series of Sneaks were classics. Hell, I still play Telephono frequently (mostly because I was able to find it just over a year ago). But I think they're one of the worst live bands I've seen.

As for other new stuff, I don't care about the Pumpkins, and am waiting to hear more about the new Interpol. As for a couple weeks before that, I think the new White Stripes record is great fun. I thought they lost the plot on the last one, but the new one heralds back to the Red Blood Cells era, with some updates.
