Be careful, or you'll deeply regret it tomorrow. That homemade stuff packs a wallop.

For beer I like that EKU 28 or Sam Adams triple boch. As for wine it is almost pointless to tell you. I live in NorCal wine country and drink stuff that most of you will never get to taste. Like Fred Pastoris' Port that sells out in two weeks or Chateau St. Jean Late Harvest Reisling available only to upper level wine club members or employees like me.

I've been brewing beer for years now. I've had people ask me to brew for parties, cookouts, weddings... I've knocked a few unsuspecting people loopy.
I was drinking some Fat Tire's last night. No homwbrew on hand at the moment.

Right now I'm consuming a Cottonwood Endo IPA.
Waiting to get home and have that bomber of Arrogant Bastard waiting in the fridge. Lately though, my drink of choice has been Etienne Dupont Normandie; unpasteurized cider FTW!! I can drink this stuff all day. Makes Woodchuck and the like seem like disguisting, artificially flavored candy by comparison.

Just curious....How is that? Does it REALLY have a cherry flavor? I was going to try it a while back but got the Boston Lager.

Just curious....How is that? Does it REALLY have a cherry flavor? I was going to try it a while back but got the Boston Lager. It really, really does. I've never had a Sam Adams I didn't like, so when I saw a mixed case at Costco I figured I couldn't go wrong, even though I hadn't tried this one before. I actually hadn't taken the first sip yet when I posted (was happily anticipating!) but then when I did I almost came back to edit! The first few sips are recognizably beer, but with a hint of...cough syrup.
Once my mouth got over the confusion ("Is this a party? Or are we going to bed with mentholated ointment on our chest?") it was tasty, though.
I've had other fruity beers and this was the first one that was this surprising. I'd strongly recommend trying one, if you can, before you buy a whole 6-pack.

Amber Bock during the week, but on the weekend I will treat myself to Tilburg's Dutch Brown Ale.
I can't for the life of me understand why people drink IPAs and other hoppy brews. Preferring them to real beer is like preferring margarine over real butter. Hops are what you put in cheaply made beer to hide the funky taste.

I thought all beer had hops. Are there certain types that do and others that don't? Or is it just from brand to brand? Pleas educate me. :)

I usually drink Guiness or Bass.
On a hot day though I don't mind a little fruit in my beer. I'll take a Blue Moon with its infusion of orange, or a Corona with a lime. Purple Haze is good also, has a raspberry additive.

Wish I could find some Sam Adams Double Bock; got a six pack a few months ago and haven't seen it since. Not a chugging beer but had great taste, as least I thought.
If I'm lookin to get in trouble, I start off with Sam Summer and when that runs out turn to Yuengling.

Keep the fruit out of my damn beer..
It's a man law, "Don't fruit the beer." Not even lime in Corona.
In 17 days I'm going to a dry country so if you really want to support your troops then I'm begging you to all send me one unique and tasty beer from around the country. Or heck, from around the world if you aren't in the US. (Yep, I'm not above begging. 14 months without drinking is a long time. I guess I'll know I'm not addicted though.)

If you like Blue Moon, give Hoegaarden a try. It's the same style of beer, only not as overly sweet as Blue Moon is. It's also not made by Coors, so that automatically makes it better.:)

I say if it's MADE with fruit then it's okay. Those two are great tastes. Back home I have a bar with PBR and Blue Moon both on tap all the time. It just doesn't get much better.

How about made with vegetables?
September-October: COTTONWOOD PUMPKIN SPICED ALE- A hugely popular spiced ale that has built up a loyal following over the past seven years. The Pumpkin Ale is moderately bodied, crisp, and smooth to the mouth. The pumpkin flavor is faint, not overdone, which allows the spices to add to the complexity of the overall taste. A blend of special hops balances the sweetness to maintain real beer characteristics- not too sweet and very drinkable! Medal winner at the Great American Beer Festival, the 2000 World Beer Cup, and US Beer Tasting Championships prove our Pumpkin really is a special treat!
This is one of my favorite beers. Is it September yet?:D
That "man law" is totally asinine. It's for people who aren't secure in their masculinity. :)
It really applies only to crap mass-produced American beer. Don't fruit Budweiser, sure, but I wouldn't drink Bud if you paid me. Go to Germany or, better yet, Belgium (where they actually know something about beer). You'll see plenty of fruited beer and it is Gooooood! I live in Wisconsin, (my sister went to college with a Leinenkugel), and there is a brewery in New Glarus that makes a Beligian Lambic-style Cherry infused beer that is frickin' amazing.
And a glass of Hefeweizen is nothing without the lemon.
It's a man law, "Don't fruit the beer." Not even lime in Corona.

I'll have to try some of the HoeGaarden. Another beer I like when looking for something a little different is Terrapin Rye Pale Ale. Brewed in Athens, GA. Speaking of mixing things with beer, Terrapin has a Coffee Outmeal stout I want to try sometime, sounds interesting.
By the way what does the "man law" say about shaving your legs?

Terrapin is some good stuff!:) The coffee oatmeal imperial stout is pretty good, definitely try it if you get a chance. Thankfully I can get Terrapin here in NC now. I missed it greatly when I moved here. If I could just get Sweetwater here in Charlotte I'd be set.:)

There is no law, because men don't shave their legs.
