I have been getting horrible picture quality from the tour , burry and boxes. Commercials are MUCH clearer than actual race coverage so that tells me that it must be a problem with the feed from the race. Went back through the DVR and found the spring races to be fine. Any one having similar issues ?

I'm having problems when they show graphics. They keep cutting out.. But when they go to video it shows up fine. Someone suggested that i change the aspect ratio... but that didn't work. oh well.. I just wish they had it in HD....

and about your original post. yes the quality of the video is pretty crappy..

There are dozens of reasons why the resolution could be as bad as it apparently is. It is likely to do with the fact that almost 100% of the cameras are remote wireless feeds, lots of compression. I'm generally happy to have lots of camera angles with crappy resolution (to the point where you can still identify a yellow jersey) as opposed to most of the alternatives.
