i've used the search but only found threads with no replies, hopefully more luck here.

I have a Campy double crankset I am trying to identify.

From the research I've done it makes me feel like these are C-Record, but this is mainly going off comparing the cranks to pictures online (specifically the logo on the crank arm and the way one of the spider arms is behind the crank arm - although this may be indicative of just the time period, which i think is early 90's)

On the back of the drive side crank arm it reads

172.5 [31] 9/16" X 20 F.

the [ ] is really a box, and is what may give the make away possibly?

Behind the non-drive crank arm it reads:

172.5 (a triangle) [22] 9/16" X 20 F.

(a triangle) is simply well, a triangle.

thanks so much for the help

They are C-Record with the laser engraved logo. It seems that you have two crank arms with different date stamps.

The 22 indicates 1986 according to velo-retro.com. The "hidden fifth" was only used on Record (& C-Record) cranks until 2007. The 31 I'm not sure about. v-r says they used a 33 in 1987, but I know they went to 41, 51. etc after '88, so maybe v-r is wrong and 1987 is really 31, not 33
