Does anyone know what the schedule is like for the velodrome on saturdays. I checked their website, and there wasn't any events scheduled the the 21st and no specific times they open and close. But what time do they open for people just to come ride. Also how much for a one day pass.

thanks. jdb

Nothing is typically scheduled on Saturday's, just an open training day. I don't remember what time they open but I think it's fairly early. Check the schedule before going down there.

You'll need to take the class before coming down, unless you've taken a class somewhere else:

Saturday usage fees (pick one):
$5.00 for one day
$60.00 for the beginners class which includes Saturday training
$50.00 for a season training pass ($40 for the winter season)
$150 for a 'One Pass' - all races plus summer season pass

They're real flexible on the training. They aren't going to expect you to drive 7 - 8 hours for 4 weeks in a row to take a 2 hour class. Email Brian (his email is on the beginner page) and let him know your situation. I can't speak for him, but I have seen lots of people get on the track when they had to work, go to school, lived too far away... etc. and couldn't get to the normal class.
