Where do I buy one? Currently I have two brake levers on my bike, but I want to get rid of one since its serving no purpose.

Just take the lever off of one. Image from Harris Cyclery: http://sheldonbrown.com/harris/bianchi04/images/bianchi-04-pistase-02.jpg

Or, like I did, just hook a spring inside the dummy lever to keep it in place.

Dummy hoods are the greatest thing ever.

Put it on the flat part of your bars.

I got a broken lever from the trash at my LBS. Obviously that was free. I wouldn't be surprised if your shop has a bin with old broken ones for parts that they might be willing to give you.

Use a splitter from a gyro to make both levers work a single break. I think fgg has a tutorial. Or just run another break.

I just run two brakes. I figure one of these days I'll get a freewheel and use the other side of the hub.

Chuck's (http://www.chucksbikes.com/store/)

Go to BRAKES and check out the tandem stoker hoods.

would using bull horns have the same effect?

he's going for the combo of bullhorns & drops.

Cane Creek/ Tektro levers are sprung and therefore work great as a dummy. Really, it's the least weird looking solution. I think that a hood with the lever ripped out looks ugly. Even a stoker lever makes me go "muh".

not to mention, I rest my fingers on the lever....even if it's not hooked up to anything... just more comfortable. My new fixed conversion is rocking an invisible cable lever.

EDIT: Although, I do have a set of bullhorns on the way to hopefully give me the same riding position.

drop bars have more riding positions than bullhorns + two braking positions
