Foo - Is the honeymoon over?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Forum seems to be running.....slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. Are we getting ready for our first spat with new ownership?

One of the guys on our dev. team said that they're experiencing some problems with the database. They're working on it right now, but BF might have periodic slowdowns throughout the day. Sorry everyone; we're doing what we can to fix it!

Dammit, I've got vacationitis and I am NOT supposed to be accomplishing anything today, but this database problem is making it difficult to entertain myself without completing actual work.
If this goes on I may be forced to converse with my co-workers. Please, have mercy...
Alas, poor Chewy, a long time power supply to Foo Server X5, has been called to serve and left today for Iraq. Chewy's APO address will be published shortly.

I think they are trying to prepare for an upgrade. Hang in there, guys!
I was about to come in here a few minutes ago to say "Hey, it looks like everything's back to normal!", but then the site went down. :p

The forums do that from time to time, just like all forums. Crazy thing, these forums run on computers and sometimes those things happen...who'da thunk.

When there are only 12 people in Foo, you know something is horribly wrong.

I have it on good (bad) authority that all of the hard drives and fans in Bikeforums servers use Chris King bearings.
Too bad about those Shimano Tourney heatsinks. :p
