HI .
**
EDIT
doesnt anyone have any suggestion ...
i am thinking about upgrading my wheel set.
I am currently running 700c mavic A317 with DT Swiss spokes ( 32h Front&Rear ). with Shimano Viam Hubs .DISC Set -

It is generally blowing ( windy ) and i feel like i am going to be blown off the road or i am going to fold like a taco sometime . i can feel and hear the drag when commuting ..I ride for fun but i like to push myself as well .meaning i like to keep a pace and hual A$$ when i can ..
the wheel set i have now is constantly off the bike and on the truing stand , i ride a bit hard and push what i have = bent wheels all the time . YES you guesed it i am a 20 year mtn biker and havent learned how to take it easy on the road ( YET ) ..

i would like something that can take a beating ,that is going to last and lightweight and PRETTY ( Ofcourse )
So this is why i am here , to ask you WHeel Guru's about what type of rims + a hub upgrade would be good for this type of situation ..
i dont have 1000's of £$€ so please keep it real :)

Cheers T

If you're constantly truing wheels, it's because you're hitting too many curbs, potholes or your spokes aren't tensioned properly to begin with. Replacing the rim or hub isn't neccesarily going to solve the problem. Do you have a tensiometer?

Do you have a tensiometer?

]yes i have ..

and no pot holes , curbs as you stated .
i am just to hard on rims : i guess :)
as i said , i would like to have something STRONG , LIGHT and fast rollers .( new hub , rim + spokes )
can you help or ?

Mavic rims and DT Swiss spokes? Those are prime parts, I guess they were just put together shoddily. I built my own wheels with Mavics and DT Swiss, and havent even needed to true them in years.

What kind of bike is this? Road bike or Mountain bike?

@Becnal

I know what you mean about prime parts .this is exactly what i thought.
this is why i am asking for some opinions here ..

anyway . our LBS -- WHich in fact is less than about 200Meters from my door .there i have as much shop time as i want and i have access to everything in the shop and the owners 50 years of wrenching ( he is a knowledge base ).. believe me together have tested and and retested all my bikes / wifes included .
cannot find anything wrong with them , its just my style of riding..

Then I would guess it is your riding style. :(

Well, you could go to 36 or even 40 spokes.
