Well, my original thought was... Not very forgiving, are they?... but then, the guy DID accept some bribes which I think resulted in more than a few deaths (in China) of people, not pets. Still, WAY more than your average US bureaucrat signs up for, eh?

That's a good point. Look at how many people have died as a direct result of the current administration. 9-11 was a matter of gross negligence costing about 3,000 lives and many, many more to come from the asbestos in the trade center that was dispersed. The war in Iraq was started based on lies, and hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars have been squandered, but more importantly all the tens of thousands of people who have died lost their lives solely for profits of fatcats. If you trace back through history, it's hard to come up with someone more evil unless you go all the way back to Hitler. If the many millions of people here in the US who still support the administration are any indication, we are indeed way too forgiving over here. Props to China for proper justice.

I'm not sure that I even want to touch your rant... No one really knows how many people were killed (never mind died) from the various 5 year plans, the "cultural" revolution, etc., as Chnese planned govt. activities. Don't even THINK about the thousands of childlren killed or aborted because of the 1 child rule (and I am not anti abortion).

There are a lot of injustices in the world, the US is no different than any other.

Yep, I was thinking about it earlier, realised I was wrong to an extent. There were small timers like Slobadon Malosavich and Idi Amin who were evil on the same level, they just didn't have the means to carry out as much dastardly evil as the Bush administration is.

I don't know how you thought I said that the 40's were the beginning of time. That would be pretty stupid of me if I implied that. And yes, I know a fair amount about Africa. Africa pretty much invented cruelty, and is the world capitol of it to this day. Africa was heavy into the slave trade long before it was known in Europe that the world is a ball. Never mind the suffering of animals there.

What I at least meant to say that that is the most recent era of violence and evil that I can compare the Bush administration to. But again, I realised I was wrong, there are more recent **** heads than that that are on the level of Bushco, the Carlisle Group, and Haliburton. They just had/have less money, men and hardware to throw around. They didn't kill as many people as Bush's war has, but they would have for sure if they had the means.

I hope you dont shop at target or any other retailer then. Wal-mart tried to sell american made items and promoted it up until around 1996. Other retailers were buying cheap chinese made goods to sell in their stores, so wal-mart had no option but to follow. Why are the expensive bikes in bike shops now all made in china? Greed. I happen to work as a yard driver (move semi trailers in & out of the dock) at a wal-mart warehouse in ohio. I think it's a great job as I bring home close to $1500.00 every two weeks for working four days a week, get four weeks vacation a year and pay $23.00 for health insurance that lets me see any doctor I want. Target pays their employees less money at their stores and warehouse they have in ohio, sells a bunch of crap from china, and gets off the hook by liberals who hate wal-mart. Shop where you want but know more of the facts.

I don't give a **** about how well they pay employees. Siu would, but I don't. I also don't care about their past. Sam Walton was a good man who had a vision much different than what Walmart has turned into. But what does that matter? It has little to do with the present.

By the way, in case you were wondering, I shop at Costco when I need to go to a big box store, and I always try to buy american made products.

I can tell you from experience, they just take it out of your last paycheck.

It always amazes me that we as a country are willing to overlook crap like this from the Chinese but act as though Cuba is a threat to our way of life.

My dad is V.P. of Sourcing for Sysco Foods and he said China is having some huge problems with their food being contaminated. Though unlike many made in China goods, they pose no real threat to American food companies.
