I am looking for some opinions on the Fuji Team or Fuji Team SL. I have not been able to find any negative comments on them, other than the Ritchey Aero Pro rims (weak). My LBS's don't stock 'em though. The '02 came with Ultegra crankset and the '03 is Ritchey Pro Road. Isn't that a downgrade?

Thanks for the input.

I bought my 2001 Fuji Team frame/fork off eBay over a year ago.

The frame is very light and stiff. Mine is built up with an Ultegra/105 mix with Mavic CXP21 rims and 105 hubs. It comes in at 18 lbs. Better wheels and a few component swaps would easily get it to 17 lbs.

Fuji's are very good values and capable bikes. The Mercury team road them successfully for many years.

If you don't plan to race, the Robaix Pro is an excellent choice for a steel-framed trainer and general riding bike. The ride will be more compliant that the Team's rougher, aluminum ride.
