Hello everybody

In two weeks my family and I are going to tour Norway by bicycles. We will start in Bergen and then during three weeks we want to visit Alesund and return to Bergen. I know there are tunnels where cycling is not allowed. I was looking for a Tunnel Guide for Cyclist but I just could not find any electronic version of it. Do you know if it is possible to download it as a PDF file for example? Or is there a list of tunnels forbidden for cyclists? I am leaving for Norway in 2 weeks and I would like to prepare well in advance. Does anyone here have such a file and could email me?

If you e-mail to Bike Norway they will mail you the tunnel guide.
I don't know if it is online anywhere. Maybe bike Norway knows.

There are lots of tunnels, some have a bicycle detour, some tunnels allow bikes, some neither have a detour nor access.

They can be pretty scary to ride, if access is allowed.

If you cant find info before you arrive, I seem to recall that tourist info offices have a leaflet about just this issue. Bound to be a big tourist info place in Bergen.
