My job is in between as well. I work in an office, but I make frequent stops at the shop to make something for a company project. Sometimes I spend basically the whole day in the shop.

I have been in an office for about 6 years, the only thing I dislike about it is the weight gain from inactivity all day. :P

Don't work in an office, and don't like it (my job, not the not working in an office part).

I work in an office and I like it for the most part. Luckily I have access to BF or else I'd be really bored.

My job is sort of odd.. I work mostly in a lab, sometimes in the nuke plant, and sometimes work in an 'office-like' environment.

But, I voted no office, and I like it.

My previous job was IT, and office. It was fun while it lasted, but it'd be hard to go back.

I KNEW IT!!!! Homer ... it's really you!!!!!!!

I spent about twenty years working in department stores and grew to hate it and have little but scorn for the shoppers. I have worked in an office for the last fifteen years, but would much rather be working in a shop building something.

I'm a cube rat, working in an engineering firm. I don't care too much for the physical environment, but I love my job...

But I am 50% of the office population! And my boss is only in the office about 50% of the time. Have been known to bring a bike to work with me to work on when it is slow.

Office since graduated school. Compared to my old jobs I love it. AC, kitchen, internet, combine that with really liking what I do, its hardly work, just have to spend 7 hours of my day here. Sometimes I stay longer cause the AC's nice and I dont' want to ride in the heat.

I work in the same "office" environment all the time, it just changes altitude and location.

winter time: 70% office 30% field
summertime: 95% field, 5% office

BDG, I think you've got another cabanaboy candidate here ^^^, and he could even help with the paperwork! :p

Used to work in a cube farm, was ok though sometime the guy clippin' his nails in the next cube was annoying. But that's what earphones are for. Loved the work. Average of once every two weeks, I was in the field either at meetings with clients, or at the facilities where we had oversight for some kind of modifications.

I'll probably be back in a cube farm by the end of the year....

I'm in an office, don't actually work, but still don't like it.

Mine is an office. I like it, I can shut the door and chill out...better than a cubical.

In the office...cube actually (we call them "pods" here :p). I like where I'm at for several reasons, not the least of which is that I can ride my bike to work.

I'm a regional manager for my company and handle several states. I have a home office. My company HQ is in another state. I enjoy working from home with the freedom it allows. There are some things I miss out on that I wish I had- office camaraderie, rumors, up to date company news.

Of course there are plenty of things that I miss out on that I'm glad I don't have to deal with - office politics, last minute fire drills, etc.

After working from home for 8 of the last 12 years it would be really tough to go back to a regular office job.

I work in an office but they let me out of the cage once in a while to do inspections/reviews. :)

I have worked in an office before. Whether or not I liked the work depended upon the jobs I held, how well I could perform them, the people I worked with, and so on.

Yeah, cube-ville here. My other jobs prior to office-work were on the flightline with big aircraft. What I didn't like about that was the inability to be flexible. You can't just get up and wander down the hall to the bathroom when you need to pee, y'know? Lunch was when they came and picked you up, and you couldn't stay a few hours extra to make up time lost during the middle of the day if you had to be somewhere.

On the other hand, there WAS no work that I was solely responsible for that I'd have to make up for, so that wasn't the worst thing in the world!

Work at home - in a corner of the kitchen. When the weather is nice, work outside, or local coffee shop - wherever I can get a wifi signal. I'm lucky. :)

I'm in my office about 66% and out in the field 33% of the time. I'll also work from home as well as needed.

I went to school for six years so I could sit in an air conditioned office. I love it. Besides, it makes me enjoy going out and working on bikes and using my hands more.

I work in an office, but if things work out right I will soon be spending a lot of my work time outside at Lake Tahoe (and they will actually pay me for this?!?).

I work in an office and love it - overlooks the Bay and I get to watch the planes at SFO. Trek around or shuttle the company campus - get to work out at the company fitness center.

I work in a warehouse. There is no AC and that sucks in the summer but I love my job. For various reasons.

Yes, I often do. I demolish ****, including office buildings. And yes, I enjoy it sometimes.

So kinda.

I work in a restaurant. There is an office that all the supervisors/managers use, but I'm usually on the floor. Although I would rather be sitting in the office.

I make sure Will G`s office is in working order.
