Sunday the15th is the big 3-0 for me, I plan to ride the York county rail trail from the start @ the Plow Tavern in York to the end in Cockeysville MD. I ride the Pa half about every other week, and rode the Md half once, I have never done the trial in its entirety. The trip is about 84 miles in length. I am allowing about 8 hours to make the voyage. :)

That is a fabulous trail. We rode it lat year as a 2 day mini-tour and it is a very comfortable ride. You should have no trouble fininshing in that time. Remember plenty of water since it seems like it is a ways between water supplies.

Yea, i love riding it. I can carry about 4 bottles, and my camel is a 3 liter, I should only need one water stop to pick up a gallon or so, probably in Glen rock on the way back up, they have that convience store right on the trail there.

Happy B-day!
I've never gone the distance but am looking forward to one day doing just that. I'm a bit older (52) and am basically a newbie. York to Hanover Junction is my normal ride. Building strength and stamina each ride.

I'll be thinking about you Sunday and waiting for the details.

North Central / York trails are fun. I've never managed an end-to-end, but I've gone from Whitehall to York and back a couple of times.
My favorite part is Maryland below the border. Very quiet and remote.
