I just got my bike last weekend. I did not buy a helmet at the shop. I wanted to do a little research first. I don't do a lot of hard riding. I would like a descent helmet for when I do hit some trails though. Any reccomendations on which one and good place to get it from? I don't want to spend a whole lot. And one other thing, how does the sizing go? My motorcycle helmets are usually a medium. I wear about a 7 1/8- 7 1/4 hat.

thanks

Like shoes, different companies have different fits, even with the same "size" listed on the tag. You have to go to the shops and try them on to find your item.

Any bike shop quality helmet(Specialized, Bell, Giro) will be a good choice and should only be $30 to $40. Go into your local shop and get fitted.
