I did Tour de Cure, today. Man, what a ride! Kt was absolutely awesome! I opted for the 75K route. The temperature was a tad cool in the morning and not bad at all in the afternoon.
I made 69 KM of the 75, and just couldn't turn a pedal....my right knee had a tendinitis flareup and I was in SEVERE pain, and still am! I have the knee alternating between heat and ice packs right now. My wife, crazylady opted for the 50K and finished it out on her recumbent trike.
3 of the 5 members of Team Stormcrowe, my TdC team were able to ride the event, me, crazylady and ChunkyD. All in all, it was a fantastic ride, as I said! We're going to do it again next year, that's for sure!
I put together a Montage of the event and cut in footage from my news interview as well. I'll link both hereMontage

Congrats on the ride. 69KM is further than most and you should be happy for contributing to such a good cause. Not knowing your story before I was very excited for you while watching the videos. You are truly inspirational and make me want to go for a ride right this minute. Keep up the good work

Cool beans, and the knee IS just a tendinitis flareup! I'm going to raise the saddle a skosh to see if that's the cause. I seem to be having to do that from time to time as my keister shrinks, my legs seem to get longer!

Great job, Tom...too bad about the darned knee. You might consider not raising, but lowering the saddle...I've always had the tendency to feel that my saddle needed to go higher as the season progresses, then end up paying for it with tendon pain and lower it again. Get that thing healed up...I want to see you at the Hancock in September. ;)
