So does the century absolutely, necessarily needs to be over 100 miles??? I had to do an extra 5 laps around the block to get my ride over 100. Just wondering ...

A century, Ron, is technically 100.5 miles. Now that you've admitted that you only rode 100, I can't give you credit for CAM. Sorry. Next time you'll know to do a few more laps, now won't you? :)

I didn't know that ... so organized centuries that are less than 100 miles don't count?

and I was lucky ... you'll see that I happened to do 100.85 miles ... so does it still count??? :D

No. it has to be 100.5

You're supposed to stop at that point and walk the rest of the way back to your car.

Are you really going to count those junk miles?

We're not going to go through that again, are we???

I'm just sayin'. You can count them if you want though. Personally, I'd get back out there and do the whole ride again, adding in an extra 5 miles in a way that makes sense for the route. Not laps around the block or an added out and back on some random road.

That's just me though, you can do what you want.

:p

Well, no. My body has taken enough punishment. I'm not going to do another 7000+ foot climb. I guess I'll skip this month, even though this ride was much tougher than my last century, which counted.

No, no. Any organized century under 100.5 doesn't count. Sorry. :)

Correct...they don't count. If not 200.5, it wasn't a double century. Sorry. :o

Well with that rule, then Solvang Spring Double, Eastern Sierra, Davis Double, Grand Tour ... all do not count as double century. There's a conspiracy going on here

Besides, if a century is truely 100.5 miles, then a double century is 201.0 miles.

 NO. I make the rules, Ron, and for YOU it is 100.5 or 200.5 (no need to add an extra .5 - that's just cruel). :p

I feel my efforts today were wasted then. Why else would I put myself up to such torture. Had a rough day climbing Alpine ... I almost pulled a Bjarne Riis ... where he flings his bike ... but I didn't do that ... I love Jackie too much.
