Not sure if you're willing to come out west but there are lots of rides out here in the Fox Valley and beyond that many participate in. Check out the BFNIC ride schedule and join us! Crystal
What area of Chicago are you in? City proper or suburbs? More info would be helpful.

Lots of teams and peopl in the area. As Kenal0 mentioned we just need more of an idea of where you are to point you in the right direction.

Are you in or around Chicago? I'm in the Loop (just moved here, getting the bike out of storage in two weeks) and am also looking for a club or someone to ride with.

Great! My site Chicago Bike Racing (http://www.chicagobikeracing.com) is designed to be a resource for the beginning racer in Chicago. It has regular race reports and news, plus a directory of team rides and a calendar of upcoming races. By the end of the summer there should be a directory of local teams to help people looking to join in 2008.
Hm, I might have to look at that too Mr. Scrooby. The only thing is that I ride track not road. Well, jc33, I live in and ride in Chicago so if you ever need company for a ride you know where to find me. (I'm usually here. :p)
hi thanks for the info mr scrooby ill check that out. more specifically i ride right now in the barrington hills, fox river grove, schaumburg, palatine, hoffman estates area. that is all basically northwest of the city but i am not against driving a little ways if it means getting more experience with pack riding. I think that is what i need in order to race. I am also a runner and swimmer so i think i have a pretty decent cardio base so i should be able to keep up. my rides have been around 15-16 mph average. i usually do a long ride on sunday if anyone is interested or has a group that rides that day i would be interested.
