In English, yes. But you have to see/hear what they do on the French stations. It is unparalleled.
Commentary typically by J.F. Bernard and Laurent Jalabert (usually on a moto) among others. Morning intro shows. Commercial free race coverage from noon or so (earlier on big mountain stages), and post-race shows with the riders, D.S.s, former big name riders, big time press, etc.
The Italians do the same thing for the Giro, but the French have them beat by a bit.
I was actually in France for a good bit of the Tour this year-- Nothing beats France's Velo Club after the main coverage! I wish we has something like that here in the states. Otherwise, I love Paul and Phil and Bob-- Paul's stage description done completely in Swahili one time was fantastic!

IWhat I find a little disturbing is the opening segment of each day when Phil and Paul sit so close to each other, that they are touching.
Did you catch the last stage when Lance joined them-- They were completely cuddled up in that tiny booth-- someone was definitely sitting on a lap then.
... Frankie is getting better. ...
I can even take Bob's Tour day France affectation. But Andreu botching the name Campagnolo is unforgiveable!

maybe he said it right, and we are all wrong, He did finish 9 consecutive TdF's. Do we have any native "I" talians on here?

Not I, but I lived there from 1956 to 1958. Actually saw a stage of the Giro when it passed through my town - Vicenza - and didn't have a clue as to what I was watching. More the pity. I do have one Kodachrome slide of it, however.
I spoke fairly fluent Italian, and guarantee that he is wrong.

I enjoy Phil's excitement. Even when he gets the names wrong, or the teams wrong--he really seems excited about the outcome.
Paul has a pleasant voice, and accent.
Bob Roll, the jester of gesticulation and his deliberate mispronunciations are made tolerable by the fact that he does have some insight and experience.
Al Troutwig, or "trout head" as he is called in this house, is a complete zero. A true graduate of the John Tesh school of clueless sports commentary.

Can we hope Al decides to pursue a music career? Please?
Duffers is a windbag, talks absolute rubbish, and should stfu. Sometimes I wonder if he is actually watching the race.
Kelly barely speaks English IMO.
Agreed of Duffield and Kelly speaks in such a hushed tone it's hard to tell if it is indeed english, but the worst part about Sean Kelly is his breathing, jesus, when he inhales it's like he's ready to start a climb up Ventoux.
There is another Brit announcer who is pretty good. I'm having a brain lock at the moment. I think it's Michael something and he does a lot of the Eurosport TV with Kelly.

None of them are very exciting, but they'll have to do for now.
