I've been looking at one of those hoist systems for my new tandem, my only question is my apartments slanted ceiling, (we're on the second floor) This gives us plenty of space but I'm not sure if the pulley will work properly.

Thanks.

No enough info to offer any solution to your dilemma, but someone recently shared a link to an MTB forum on the other side of the pond that offered some some interesting single bike home storage solutions on my off-road tandem forum that also have merit for tandems:

As for your situation, a photo or some dimensions on your apartment as well as some info on your tandem (type, weight) might help. Where do you keep your other bikes, assuming there are some others?

If you own a station wagon/van/pickup with cap, you could leave it inside the vehicle.

This is my living room ceiling, slants upward. I want to use a hoist system like this one:

I haven't weighed my Santana Sovereign I'm guessing it's around 55 lbs. Just asking if anyone has used a hoist on a slant.

Vehicle storage is not an option for any of my bikes. Glass is too easy to break and pricey to repair.

Thanks.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. You will just have to decide if you want to make it work facing WITH the slope, or perpendicular to the slope.

I would want it to go perpendicular, in front of the snowboards.
