Hey everyone.
Can anyone recommend some bike shops in the Fairfield county area of CT?
Moved back up to CT and need to find a good reputable shop.

You could make the drive to Zanes, or the Devil's Gear shop in New Haven. It's not that far.

New shop named Breaking Away Bicycles in Fairfield. One of the ex-Volvo/Pedros/Campy neutral support guys is wrenching there from what I can see on their site. New shop, seems hungry, a friend of mine (ex-bike shop mechanic/sales/etc for many years, ex-Cat 3) bought a bike there about two weeks ago and was happy with service etc. He didn't ask for any deals or anything but they helped him out (and he helped them out - he bought everything you need to ride a bike from the bike to the shoes to the helmet to the clothing).

Spoke and Wheel in bridgeport is an excellent shop and I'm glad to see them on the list there. They always kept me safely on the road 365 days a year commuting from Bridgeport to Fairfield trainstation regardless of weather. They got me back on the road quickly because my bike was my vehicle. Most of my problems on my bike were because I beat the $@#*() out of it and the roads on my commute were crap. Riding 15mph into gaping pot holes broke some spokes, and cracked a rim, but couldn't be avoided on a flooded or snow covered street.
They are/(were?) a really small shop and do a lot of custom show off cruizer stuff for the locals and weren't really a racing bike shop if that is what your looking for. They carry mostly cruisers/hybrids/MB but that is what most people ride in the general area. They fixed anything. They often have some nice old vintage bikes outside for $50-$100 that have been tuned up that make some good beaters.
Pedal and Pump has some nice gear and were friendly when I was in that neck of the woods but prices were a bit high on some stuff and given their location that may be the main reason.

I'd like to put in my two cents for Breaking Away Cycles (http://www.breakingawaybicycles.com) as well - I know one of the owners and they definitely are passionate about road cycling. It's a friendly and very knowledgeable bunch; they tend to cater more to the mid-end market rather than the exotic and exclusive, so depending on how specific you needs are, give them a try.
