I have a triathlon in September, I was wondering if there are any stores that rent road bikes? I don't really have the cash to buy a new one. I live in Philly area and race is in southern Delaware.

Thanks

Err.... Dude, you will need to train on the bike (or type of bike) that you plan to race. You can't just ride a hybrid for 3 months and rent a tri bike for that weekend. You will not have the fitness, experience or skills to handle that type of riding position / bike.

What are you currently using?

Doubt you'll get a tri bike, but maybe a decent road bike? Try the bike shop in Frenchtown, NJ, also some in PA and DE via a web search. I had been looking for road bike rentals a few weeks ago for a visiting cylist pal; had found several, but sorry, threw out the details when that trip cancelled.

I know that Trophy Bikes at 3131 Walnut Street in Philly rents out a lot of bikes, but I don't know if they're road bikes. The last few times I was there, they were renting bikes like crazy, but I didn't get a look at any of the actual bikes.

You can call and ask. Their website is www.trophybikes.com.
