Bicycle Mechanics - clunking in crank arm

I'm a newbie to this site and I thank you all in advance. what I have for a bike is a Serotta Legand Ti, Campy Groupo, with Spinergy RevX wheels. My probem is this season when riding I feel a clunk in my right pedal. This is evvery other revolution and occurs at the three o'clock position I removed the BB and re-torqued everything with no differance. I have maybe 4000 miles on this groupo I weigh in @ 168 and I'm a spinner 100-105 rpms on the flats setting the pace. so I feel that I'm not mashing my gears causing pre-mature wear on the hills. What's my next move??

I had luck with Teflon tape on the BB threads (both DS and NDS). Lots.

You might have a stiff or frozen link in your chain. Pull it and if it's dirty, clean it. When you find the bad link, try flexing it side to side to loosen it up. If that doesn't work, replace the chain.

If it's not on every revolution it would indicate that the problem is not with the BB. But it's unusual that it would occur that regularly if it's elsewhere.

It is hard to localize a sound when you're riding directly above it. Have someone else ride alongside and give a listen.

i'm dealing with the exact same issue, i believe it to be the chain as well. this issue was prevelant on my old build, had the components switched to a new frame and it is still there. cranks bolts are tight, BB cups were re-installed, which isloates the issue. i'm pulling it tonight, will report tomorrow if Proximo's suggestions help.

It could. But the chain would have to be exactly twice the length of ring circumference for it to occur at exactly 720°, as the OP described. (And that could not be true for more than one ring.)

I agree that it's a probably a chain problem. But the symptom is unusual.

found a very stiff, if not frozen link on my chain last night. wsa able to loosen it up - today's ride seemed to indicate the problem was solved.
