is there going to be another one of those slacker centuries?
I'm doing Moonlight Magic. Already registered (I never plan ahead!)
Oh...and Cool Breeze too.

the dark century 2.
So they do the loop 5 times?
The Windmill Century is Saturday.
Poway sounds good. Solvang just gets crazy expensive though.

Poway was rather eh, especially towards the end.

Sold out. www.cibike.org has a place to buy/sell registrations that folks can't use.

I'm doing the Amtrak Century in September. Is anyone else here doing that ride?
Chances are, there's going to be another PIE ride on Thanksgiving weekend (Mt. Palomar to Julian), and probably a Burrito ride tossed in there as well. (Like the Amtrak, but different).
Speaking of which -- I was considering organizing another Burrito century for October, but the OP was asking about (so-called) organized rides.
I'd argue that the Burrito ride features the minimum necessary components of an "organized" ride -- a meeting time and a route slip. And a few convenience-store stops thrown in.
No registration fee, no rest stop food to complain about later. No overpriced jersey. I could create some special burrito century 2007 socks, with an old pair of socks and a couple Sharpies. But it would just be one pair, which would be raffled off at the "post ride party" (read: small gathering in the Amtrak station parking lot).

That's classic.
Just wait until you see 'em!

I'm in for the Burrito ride. Maybe we could have some custom jerseys made up? :p
Mark me as tentative for the Pie ride.

Sheesh, the public demand for the burrito ride is swelling already. I'll see what dates work in October.
TdP is coming up. As for another slacker, there's a "not so slacker" century this Saturday with the SD century riders starting in La Jolla and going north to San Clemente and back. 7am departure from UC Cyclery in La Jolla. Sounds like the slackers weren't really slacking on this last one. :) Tandems really throw a wrench into a slacker's pace.

Ralph (1955), Keith (sciovid), John (octico) and I are all doing the Amtrak that I know of. I know a few of the folks that come over from Phoenix to do the ride as well.

Is anyone doing Poway or Salton Sea? I'd be down for either of those.
Don't forget Spooktacular! 10/20/07
http://www.kernwheelmen.org/spooktacular-alone.php
I might do Poway...since I missed it last year, and y'all roll right by my house.
But, when Voltman said 'meh' to it, he wasn't kidding. There are much better centuries. The funny thing is that (unless the route's changed) you're only in Poway for about 3 miles in the beginning, and about 6 at the end.
Can't really do a Tour of Poway because it really isn't that large. It goes somewhat near my house, though not as close as that July 4th Scripps Ranch Old Pro ride. I might bandit ride part of it if I'm not doing anything else.

I'll probably do TdP. Salton Sea looks interesting, 4 man team time trial. :)
