Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I just bought a used mountain bike, and the seller threw in a pair of Look pedals and cleats. These are old. Cleats have two bolts, one front, one rear. The pedals only say "Look Patent Product of France". Should I try to use these on a mountain bike? Should I sell them on eBay? Should I toss them in trash? Any advice is welcome- Will
get some normal platform pedals or SPD pedals, cleats and shoes. Depends on how much power transfer you would like to get through.

I doubt you'll find a shoe to mount those cleats on. While Look's three bolt pattern became the norm for road pedals, Shimano's two bolt (side by side) pattern has become then norm for MTB pedals. In the late 80s, early 90s, there were many proprietary clipless pedal bolt patterns.
