Never been to the Dells before, drove through the area a few times buit didn't have the Dells as a destination.
Drove up there with the MIL, kids, SILs and one husband and their kids.
Just wondered how many people here are familiar with the place. Seems like a good number of local cyclists.
(Had a pretty good time, by the by.)

Just visited there two weeks ago...lots of great roads to ride on. Did a 36-mile loop from Lake Delton to Reedsburg and points in-between, I can't remember the exact route. It was a great ride, though! I just ad-libbed it and found some great roads almost by accident. Wisconsin is my favorite state for riding because of the abundance of great roads. Almost any road with a letter of the alphabet as its name (i.e. County Hwy "P")is almost guaranteed to be low-traffic and well-maintained. Awesome state...I'd move there if the property taxes weren't so high and the riding season wasn't so short! Oh, and I'm a Packer fan too...

There are some great rail trails in the vicinity - here's a map for your riding pleasure.

I don't have specific routes but I can point you to some resources.
The Wisconsin DOT publishes county-by-county bike maps with state, county and local roads color coded for cycling suitability. I rode up to Portage from Madison a month ago. Having never ridden Columbia county the DOT map was awesome. Note that while the maps seem to emphasize county roads with the color coding scheme, don't ignore the local roads listed. In fact take them whenever you can... (the maps will indicate paved/unpaved)

For the Dells area you might grab the Sauk, Columbia, Juneau and Adams county maps. As a *general* rule around that area; west of the river -> hilly, east of the river -> flat.
