SO I live in Tacoma. I was wondering if anyone knows of a even marginally decent lbs here. The only ones I can Find are performance bicycle and Bike Tech. I am kind of looking for one that actually has used parts and stuff like that.

Used parts? Re-Cycle in Seattle is only place I know of that does any real used part selling. Here are a list of shops that give the local club discounts stolen from www.twbc.org. I have been to Old Town, Rainier and Bonney Lake Cycles (oddley enough located in Sumner) I have never noticed much in the way of used parts, but then I wasn't really looking for any.

Sumner bike at 926 Main is no more. Closed down a couple of years ago. Thats why when Bonney Lake bike shop relocated to Sumner they kept the name and added of Sumner they didn't want to be confused with the old shop which had some issues as I recall

Thanks for the list themickeyd, and also for the update, stringbreaker.
I am going to sit down and do some mapmyrouting in the next couple of days and see about a shopping tour. I mean, if the SoCal people can have a thread about shopping, I think I could start one that at least involves bicycles.
:D

Not to hijack this thread but I want to go check out Recycled Cycles in Seattle. Whats the scoop there is it worth the trip from hickville to the big city? Oh yea the A-1 bike shop in Puyallup doesn't have a whole lot, a few old single speeds and I think the guy told me he had a couple of Varsitys in back its mostly a combo medical rental place :ie: wheel chairs and the like with some bike stuff, I didn't find them to be all that customer friendly.

I've been told that there are bins and bins of things like derailleurs, brakes, etc. at Recycled Cycles. Cheap! I have yet to make it there, that's why I'm working on a mapmyride shopping trip.
A riding partner told me that she knew someone who picked up a Campy triple ring for $19 there! Rows of glorious older bicycles...it sounds well worth the trip, even for us hicks out in the boonies and wilds :) .

If your in UP, swing by Spoke & Sprocket. I went there last week & they had a lot of older interesting bikes. The owner said they specialize in steel & almost all of their stuff was steel with campy. It is a cool place.

Spoke and Sprocket also has some used stuff in back some times.Just ask.If they like you they ll help you out.A-1 closed down.Joel was actually a cool guy.Just kinda hard to read. And he lied about his stash in back.My faves were his colnago and the 1959 Ideor Asso his father bought new.

A-1 in Puyallup is closed. If you get to Orting stop by my favorite shop Trailside Cyclery he is right across from the city park and the Foothills trail.
