I was perusing the BFNIC ride schedule and saw that the Metro Metric was coming up in two weeks. Has anyone made definite plans to ride this event? I'm always game for another t-shirt so I think I'll go, even if it's just for the 62miles. I don't think I'll have time to complete the 100 and drive home before the mrs goes to work.

Gonna miss it this year. I'm guessing Psimet will be there since that ride's practically in our backyard.

I rode to the start last year and then despite the flat route, I kind of bonked my way through the second half of the metric. :o

I might go...depending on the scheduling. I usually turn this one into a metric just because of when it falls in the schedule.

I'm planning on being there.

I'm signed up but not sure if I can make it. We shall see later in the week.

OK...we're coming in on the event. I have been super sick all this week, so I have been off the bike since my commute on Monday. Feeling sluggish, but have a feeling I will be OK by Sunday for the ride.

I think I'm on for the 100. I can be talked into shorter route if someone will ride with me.

Weather looks like it will be good. Let's do a final roll-call and set up meeting plans. If aham, CyLowe and Shider are out then we can ride at a reasonable pace. ;)

Who's in?

Well...I wrote that last post during a brief period of time that I was feeling better. Turns out this problem I've been having is Strep Throat. Gave in last night when I was battleing my 6th round of 103 fever. I'm now on antibiotics, but don't think I should ride tomorrow.

:(

Good news is that I completed the RAIN ride with Strep!

The wife and I are in for 30 miles. We plan on taking things slow since this is her first organized ride. If you see a KISS Destroyer jersey, be sure to say "hi".

watch out for the lowracer recumbents, they are fast and i dare you to try and catch them

As tempting as another event t-shirt is, I'm going to have to pass on this one. I've been tired and feeling sick all week. I'm just going to go on the usual Sunday ride much closer to home. You all have fun.

Well, the ride was nice. Sunny, temps in the middle 80's and light winds. Not too many hills which is good for me and better for the wife since this was her first organized ride. She is looking forward to another in the near future.
