Hey all,

I'm the owner of a new Kona Jake the Snake and absolutely love it. I want to purchase another set of rims and road tires for longer road rides and was hoping to get some advice.

I don't want to break the bank, I want something simple yet effective. I love my Locusts that I'm riding on now, but I want to get some sort of road slicks for when I want to go on longer road rides.

Can anyone suggest a rim and tire that won't set me back huge?

no real budget set...I just don't want to spend a ton...I've heard that you can get a decent wheel set for around 200 bucks Canadian?

Anyone care to enlighten me? Brands or models you suggest?

After budget, the next question is: What's your weight (generally with gear)? :)

Probably around 210?

$200 CAD? (~$190 USD). You should be able to come across a set of OP/Ultegra wheels for that price.

have the same bike with a set of velocity deep Vs. Had mine hand made with ultegra hubs -- ran about $380. Love them, very tough.
