This past sunday at about 10 a.m. I saw 50-100 riders on Queens Boulevard traveling east. What ride was this? I also saw a bunch of riders massing in Manhattan.

could have been one of the cyclings clubs. 5BBC or NYCC. during the summer, those often swell to really huge groups (which is why i don't do them).

50 or 100? Only once have I seen such an attendance for 5BBC and that was when there was free pizza involved!

8AM, Bridgemarket, 66 miles
9:45AM, Cunningham Park, 53 miles
Join us for this ride to Centre Island Beach in Bayville, on the North Shore of Long Island. We’ll stay at the beach for a couple of hours, which will leave enough time for those of you who want to do the optional 6-mile loop around scenic Centre Island. We will ride at an easy pace on somewhat hilly terrain. Don’t forget your bathing suit and towel. Ride will return to Cunningham Park around 6PM. Leaders Brian Hoberman and others

No NYCC ride on the schedule that day that went in that direction. I was on the 5BBC ride and maybe 20 people.
