Thats the question, for me it has to be what i found today.
Since i've been back into bicycling my left knee has been killing me. Whenever i'd ride about one or two hours later it'd be OUCH.
First i adjusted my look cleats, then I adjusted my seat height to within a gnats ass of perfect, no change.
Then reading on the internet, I thought tracked it down. IschioTibular band syndrome sounded right and could be corrected with stretches. I did the stretches, still didn't help, so I start looking at my pedaling.
My guess at this point is my wierd flat foot is making me pedal funny. (the left one is all wonky)
So i'm riding along, and my right knee is in near the top tube like it should be, but My left knee is going out at the bottom of my pedal stroke, and in at the top. I say to myself, "hmm that is an odd way for my foot to be wierd, how could it make my knee do that"
So after i'm done riding I think about this for a while and realize my pedal is bent. The stupid damn pedal has been wobbling my foot in and out with every revolution and THATS how my knee is getting all painful. (i/e if its bent down at the bottom of the stroke it would tilt the leg out, if you flip that at the top of the stroke it would bend the knee in!)
Well, at least its an easy fix :) as long as i didnt hurt it too bad these last few weeks :( (but it really isnt that painful, just best to fix pain BEFORE it gets crippling, heh)
take care,
Jester
