Any one use this helmet? Im looking at getting a new helemt here real quick and saw this one and thought it was cool looking.
My friend has one with the real neat green goo colors but she has a small head so i cant realy try it on since my head is way bigger.
Right now Im using a Bell Immage 2000 but its a good 3-4 years old and is getting torn up.
Are there any problems with these helmets?
Thought I would get some opinions on it first before I lay down some cash.

Only problem is they are so dern expensive.

I've got two Giro helmets. An older Exodus and a Havoc.

Giro's are sweet helmets, lots of vents, lightweigh, sharp styles, and less "dork" factor.

You can pick up an E2 for 89 bucks... saw it on one of the "Hot Deals" vendors on www.mtbr.com

Not that bad... but at my LBS it was over 160 bucks.

I have an E2, its really sweet. Mine is pretty old....it has a bunch of crappy velcro. I think the new strap system is all a bunch of plastic which stays in place better.

I got my E2 last year for 55 off of ebay. It's a great helmet! The roc lock sysyem is always a plus.

I had the older E2 with the crappy velcro and had to repair it because the adhesive started failing due to sweat among other things. A little bit of 3M Super88 (or something like that) spray adhesive fixed it. However it was short-lived as I crashed out a couple of weeks later and cracked the helmet. I bought a new E2 on closeout and it has plastic retentions embedded/molded-in so that problem was solved. Plus the new E2 has Roc-Loc4 vs the older Roc-Loc3 on my previous E2. I really like the E2 and I have a smaller head. I wear a medium actually and with the default pads, it fits me fine. I use it for both road and MTB and it works equally well in both roles. As far as the price goes, I don't think it's too bad considering other top-of-the-line helmets... especially road helmets.

I couldn't really find a fit that I felt comfortable with, either. My head seems like its sorta between medium and small. The medium looks oversized on my head, and the small looks better, but fits a bit too tight.

I have one. It's white, that is the only thing that I would change. Excellent helmet, the Roc-Lock is a very good feature.

I think the E2 looks great with the visor- vents look nice and huge. I really like the new Giro MTB helmet- it is kinda more skate helmet looking. That would be my first choice, then the E2.

Cool, do you mean the Xen (somthing like that) Racerx? i was thinking about that to but since im more into xc racing and the like, i think it would be kinda weird.

So stay away from the Rocklock-3 ones (Seams like the older ones?)

Ive got a Giro Mojave, it has the Roc Loc 3 harness, which works sweet for me, i think the Roc Loc 4 is even more refined, but IMO, the 3 is 100 times better than velcro and pads!!

I hear that the Xen has less venting / air flow, but thats just what Ive read. It sure looks cool!

I'm not too wild about the Xen myself. But I do have an E2. Red, White and Blue Limited Edition. Fits great. My last helmet was a Bell Envy Pro, but the E2 fits much better and feels lighter.

now the real question is...woudl it look ok without a visor, on a road bike?

Mad Dog JR

Yes! I have a friend with one and she never uses the visor.

I don't usually wear mine with a visor if I'm riding on the road.
