i recently accumulated a Schwinn continental from the 70's.
it has the original brakes which are weinmann type 730's
i dont know how to get the wheel out.
is there a "quick release" to the brakes?
do i have to loosen bolts if i need to take the wheel out?
thanks for your help.
i will post pictures as soon as am able to.

Hmmm, if there isn't a quick release, I'd sooner deflate the tire than release the brake cable.

Sometimes you can squeeze the brakes where the stradle wire goes and just pop the stradle wire out of one end. Give it a try and good luck.

Ehhhh... IIRC 730's are sidepull, yes?

If you have a barrel-adjuster to adjust the brakes, then just screw it in all the way to open up the pads.
