My dad just gave me his old Cannondale road bike, which is a mid-late 80's Cannondale Criterium Series(??) that is light blue. The frame is in perfect condition, however the rest is in pretty rough condition. I was hoping to rebuild from the frame up to learn more, have a project, and eventually have a road bike to use. Right now I ride my MTB around town when I'm not on the trails. I would like to keep the cost under a few hundred dollars. I don't have a problem with DT friction shifters. I've been looking on ebay for drivetrain components, but I'm not really sure where to start and what would be the right moves. Are there any ideas out there or suggestions? I know there have been many threads like this so I apologize in advance.
