Edit: Weather Underground says the heat index (as calculated in the U.S.) is only 47C / 116.6F. Phooey. It's still stupidly hot.

We hit 103 today. 9% humidity.

We have set records almost every other day for the entire month. Don't think for a second that the low humidity helps. I have to drink twice as much on my rides otherwise my mouth dries up and I return home with cracked, bleeding lips.

Edit: Just czeched, we actually got to 105.

wow. didn't realize it got that hot out there where you're at cypress. i'll trade you a little bit of humidity tho...it's like riding through soup here in NC.

Today it's below 80 degrees . Love it. It has been about 85 the last couple days. I even b!t@h with a modest 85.

Hmm - I know the feeling. Our local weather has live doppler online that I track before rides. If there's a storm moving in I usually won't ride, but they can change in a heartbeat and then I miss out on a ride. It seems like I got a lot more riding done before they had the live doppler. I should probably just stop watching it.

Currently 28.5 c (I think that's about 84 f) at 10.35pm Rain rain rain and rain. Don't know the humidity but it's shocking.

That's what I've been doing... I pick the one with the highest temperature so I can feel more hardcore :D

The high today is only supposed to hit low to mid 70's and not go higher than lower 80's through the weekend. Friggin' awesome for late July.

I can't wait to go ride in the hills of Wisconsin tomorrow. Steep hills are so much nicer when it's cool out.

Was a chilly 78F the other day around mid-day when polara and I started our ride. But the humidity was unusually high at 83%! :eek: That was one of the few times where my sweat didn't evaporate while riding! Could've used my wrist and head bands from tennis. And when we stopped, it was as though we had just come out of a pool, just dripping wet. I drank about 60oz of water, most of it following the ride. Had the sensation that it was coming straight back out through my pores! :p

But I love summer riding weather. Yes I do! :)

Only 97F today. After 2 weeks of 105F, mid 90s feels nice.

I think the high for today should be about 70F. :)

It's been 90 +or- a couple with the heat index at 95 +or- a couple for the past two weeks. Works for me since it's not unusual to be over 100 about now.

Low 70's again today. Sky is clearing and the weekend looks to be in the 70s for highs low 50s for lows this weekend. Gonna do some BRP riding in some nice cool temps.

BTW: mental math to convert C to F. Take the C temp, double it, subtract 10% of the doubled amount, and then add 32. Works like a charm.

examples:
28C x 2 = 56
56 - 5.6 (10% of 56) = 50.4
50.4 + 32 = 82.4F

16C x 2 = 32
32-3.2 = 28.8
28.8+32 = 60.8F

97 degrees with 86% relative humidity. Hot and wet.

right now it's 87... probably a humid 87 too. it's supposed to get into the mid 90's now that's it's stopped raining for the past week or two. this is a cold summer, but my electric bill was still $85 with the a/c set at no less than 80... now i'll keep it at 85.

Last Thursday it was 95 degrees F and 100% Humidity, which made for a rather unpleasant afternoon training ride, filled with saturated gloves and lukewarm water bottles.

Thanks Shadiyah - your well wishes worked. We are back home now. First impression - thank God for moisture! I thought my skin was going to crack it felt so dry up there! :eek:

Dead tired though - travel always takes it out of me.
